Long Nguyen
Uncle Nam

Oliver Stone’s Heaven and Earth (1992), Operation
Dumbo Drop (1996), directed by Simon Wincer, Into Thin
Air (1997), directed by Robert Markowitz, 97), Green
Dragon (2002), directed by Timothy Linh Bui and Missing
Brendan (2002), directed by Eugene Brady. His latest
project is a leading role in JOURNEY FROM THE FALL (2005).
As an artist, Nguyen’s works have been exhibited
internationally. His coming solo show will be a semi-retrospective
at the San Jose Museum of Arts. His paintings are in
the collection of the Oakland Museum of Arts, San Jose
Museum of Arts and Triton Museum. Nguyen is a recipient
of a grant from the National Endowment for the Art,
the California Art Council and the Fleishhacker foundation
grant. For Long Nguyen, making art and acting are two
disciplines the compliment each other, to get under
a character's skin is the same as to lose oneself in
a painting or sculpture.
