Jimmy Lee, VP Public Relations IW Group

As Vice President of IW Group, Inc., Jimmy Lee leads the public relations and Asian Integrated Media Services divisions for the agency. With 14 years of public relations, public affairs, and marketing experience, Lee has become an expert in conducting results-driven communications and outreach campaigns targeting the Asian-American community nationwide. His experience includes serving as a communications strategist and consultant to notable clients, such as: American Airlines, AT&T, Blue Cross, Merrill Lynch, MetLife, Nissan, Sprint, and UPS. Since joining the IW Group seven years ago, Lee has helped lead the agency to national recognition. PR Week ranked IW the seventh fastest growing public relations firm in the U.S. and the Best in Asian PR. In 2006, Jimmy was selected and featured in PR Week’s annual career guide as one of the top 11 rising stars in the PR industry, and is the first Asian-American professional to be selected. Prior to his work with the IW Group, he served as a public affairs supervisor for State Farm Insurance Companies.
Jimmy currently serves on the board of directors of the Korean Churches for Community Development and the Public Relations Society of America – Los Angeles. Lee has also served on the board of Habitat for Humanity – Los Angeles, past chair of the Junior Achievement of Southern California Asian-American Advisory Board, vice president of the Asian Pacific Islander Council of San Fernando Valley, president of Korean American Coalition, and member of the Los Angeles Unified School District Partnership Education Council. Jimmy has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Pacific, and is a graduate of the Ventura County Leadership Academy, a C.O.R.O. fellows program, and Network of Korean American Leaders, a University of Southern California fellows program. |
